Never a dull moment at The Film School

The first semester courses start off well, after having sat a basic course in film making, students began shooting their first assignment at the school, where each one makes a one minute film.

Third semester in Directing/Producing sat a class in producing with as well as finishing a course in experimental filmmaking by premiering experimental films under the guidance of Lee Lorenzo Lynch

Students in Creative Technology on their second semester have partaken a course in film shooting with Tomas Orn Tomasson (Arctic, Lazy Town) and finished during the week shooting a short film which they will be taking into an editing course this week. Students on their third semester finished a course in scriptwriting with Hrafnkell Stefansson (Polite People, Borgriki) as well as learning sound editing with Kjartan Kjartansson (Svartur a Leik, Sodoma Reykjavik) 

Students in their third semester of Screenwriting/Directing sat a course where they worked with actors in writing a play with and students in their 4th semester sat writing full length film scripts with Hrafnkell Stefansson (Polite People, Borgriki), as well as working on a script for their graduation project with screenwriter Huldar Breidfjord (Under The Tree, Paris of the North) 

Students in their 2nd semester of Acting finished a course with Runar Gudbrandsson (Svartur a Leik, XL) where they worked with students of the Screenwriting department in composing a play that will be staged at the end of the semester, took a course in singing with Thorunn Erna Clausen (Rettur, Loi) and began a course in improv and comedy with Students in their third semester finished a course in working with directors taught by and began a course in acting technique and interpretations with Students of 2nd and 3rd semester also completed a course in acting and movement where they learned Circus Acts under the guidance of Nick Candy and Kári Svan (Circus Iceland)

We then ended the week at Bio Paradis as traditional, where the whole school enjoyed Film History.

It is safe to say that there is never a dull moment and the coming semester is looking bot interesting and thrilling.
