Kristófer Liljar will graduate from Directing and Production on the 27th of May with his film "In shadows cast"
An aspiring musician's career seems to collapse after losing his temper after a release gig, forcing him to face his inner demons on a colorful journey through the city center
-What is the first movie experience you remember?
It was with my grandfather and namesake Liljar. He in some amazing way decided to show me "Saving Private Ryan" when I was six years old. Then I fell in love with filmmaking, and there was no turning back. We had this hobby together and went to video rentals almost every weekend and usually rented 4 movies. One old one every morning and one new one on Friday and Saturday.
-What fascinates you about filmmaking?
It is the best creation. What many art forms and many talented people can achieve together. The ambiance and getting to give something of yourself in this form.
-Why did you choose Directing and Producing?
This was between Directing and Producing, and Screenwriting and Directing. Directing and Producing ended up on top. I wanted to improve my organizational skills and know how to create films from A to Z.
-Did anything particularly surprise you in the study?
What surprised me was the solidarity within the school, both among teachers and fellow students. Everyone is always ready to help and contribute.
-And what does the future look like?
Just keep going, getting to know people, enjoying life and having fun, getting some exposure.
