Hafsteinn Hugi Laxdal - Screenwriting and Directing
Hafsteinn Hugi will graduate from Screenwriting and Directing on May 27th with his film "Endoris Qaros".
After a group of friends are murdered by god, a man embarks on a journey to gain the power and knowledge necessary to avenge their deaths
-What is the first movie experience you remember?
My first movie experience that I can remember is when I watched "Ghostbusters" and I thought it was the best movie ever made on earth. Then I had to see "Ghostbusters 2".
-What fascinates you about filmmaking?
What fascinates me most about filmmaking is the plotline and the world you can create. It's always fun to forget about reality and enter some other world.
-Why did you choose Screenwriting and Directing?
I chose Screenwriting and Directing because I love writing quirky stories that make people think. It is also so much fun to create something new.
-Did anything particularly surprise you in the study?
What surprised me the most is how much work goes into creating a movie and how much manpower it takes.
-And what does the future look like?
In the future I'm going to try to create my first real monster movie or something related to that.
