Graduation winter 2021 - Vigfus Olafsson, Directing and Producing
Vigfus Olafsson will be graduating from Directing and Producing on December 18th with his film "Crossroads"
Raggi is at a crossroads in his life and on his way abroad. He calls his old friend Dagur to drop him off at the airport and reminisce about old times before they part, but the friendship is not the same as it was.
Vigfus will be graduating and his film "Crossroads" will be premiered for the occasion and we got to find out a little bit about him
What fascinates you about film making?
What fascinates me about film making is that this is creative art. Films, shorts, music videos or advertisements, all these visual forms offer complete freedom that really only depends on the authors flow of ideas. There are so many options, from the smallest details to the biggest scenes, moving pictures have it all.
Why did you choose Directing and Producing?
I signed up for Directing and Producing to have the option of learning great oversight on a project, directing is creative control and producing is just about every facet of the project as well. But I am interested in all works when it comes to film making, except for acting, others can handle that.
And what does the future look like?
Create music videos, short films and advertisement on my own. And then maybe jump into a technical role for former fellow students if offered.
