Thelma Lind is approaching her graduation from Acting and her film "See you in the next one", will be premiered before. We got to ask her a bit about her experience and interests

What is your first cinematic memory?

Since I can remember films have always played a great part in my life, for example it has been a tradition in my home to use Friday, and even Saturday evenings to chose a film together to watch. My first memory that I have was maybe not extremely noteworthy, I remember I was with my dad in Reykjavik and he took me and my sister to see “Meet the Robinsons” at the cinema, but that was the first time I saw a movie in 3D which I felt was truly amazing.

What fascinates you about filmmaking?

I think what fascinates me most about filmmaking is how accessible it is. It has never been easier or cheaper to access all kinds of movies. In addition, most people today have a decent camera in their pocket and for instance it is not long ago a film recorded on the iPhone 5s was shown at the Sundance Film Festival.

Why did you choose Acting?

When I was younger, I wanted two things: to work in a shop called Vöruval and to become an actress. I have worked in Vöruval so I just went to the next one on the checklist. I have also been infected with the theatrical virus for as long as I can remember and went to the theater a lot as a kid, and it was not long before I joined the Vestmannaeyjar Theater Company, where I participated in many works in one way or another for eight years.

And what does the future look like?

I intend on expanding my musical theater studies somewhere in England.

And finally, anything you want to add?

The Film School is one of the best experiences I have had and I take a lot of good memories with me when I graduate. My time at The Film School has taught me a lot, not only about acting but also about myself. I would especially like to thank the teachers and staff of the school who are usually available when you needed them. I would also like to thank the students of the school for the wonderful culture they have created within the school, the warmth that meets you when you come to school is indescribable.
