Northern Wave short film festival will take place for the forth time in Grundarfjörður (á Snæfellsnesi) the 4th - 6th of Mars next year. Planing is well on it´s way and admissions have gone through the roof in the past years.
Special prices will be given for the best Icelandic short film (80.000 kr.-) and for the best Icelandic music video (40.000 kr.-). In addition we will give (80.000 kr.-) to the best international short film. This is the first time we give out special prices in the category Icelandic short film and also the first time that Icelandic music video compete in the category music video. Two directors, Kristín Jóhannesdóttir and Árni Ásgeirsson, are in the jury, but the jury is not fully constituted and for example we are working on getting one foreign member of the film community to host lectors on the festival.
Around one hundred films have already been resived but the deadline is January the 1st, 2011.
